Pvt. Ravel's Bolero, is a "filmic poem" and historical documentary about Maurice Ravel and his "Bolero" in WWI, years before he had composed it. Including facts and info about Ravel and WWI, it is structured around "Pvt. Ravel's Bolero" (2021), a poem by JZ Murdock. It is wrapped in WWI and the music of Maurice Ravel. It is narrated in French by a male voice actor playing the role of Narrator, Maurice Ravel and several other historical characters, in reading the English text presented on screen. A female voice actor reads the on screen poem as the truck which Ravel drove in WWI and named, "Adelaide", as well as speaking the voices a couple of other historical characters, also from reading the English text on screen. As this is a filmic poem/documentary, it displays scenes and information on screen from public domain filmed scenes, posters, paintings and photos of World War 1. AWARDS:

After his village is attacked, a cowboy steals a black sphere. The mysterious object changes hands and it finally arrives to a bandit camp. The Indian girl who is carrying the sphere is captured and tied to a big cross. The cowboy confronts the bandits, in the attempt to have the sphere back, but they are all distracted by the arrive of the obscure owner of the craved object. The fight is ruthless, dramatic. Only the girl tries to escape, but she will have to meet her fate. AWARDS:

In 1986, Brian Keenan, an English Literature professor from Belfast, Northern Ireland, decided to take a break from his native city. He took up a position in the American University in Beirut, Lebanon. Scarcely two weeks after his arrival, he was kidnapped by fundamentalist Muslims and was subsequently imprisoned in a solitary confinement compression chamber, six feet long and four feet wide. "On the floor was a foam mattress. With the mattress laid out I had a pacing stage of little more than a foot's width." Brian was to spend much of his five years incarceration in this windowless tomb. 'Music' is by turns harrowing and inspirational. Deprived of even the most basic human needs, and in an increasingly hopeless situation, Brian's mind began to unhinge - however, it wasn't until his flights of imagination began to blur the margins between fantasy and reality that his despair began to take real hold on him.
