Further from the Ground

Further from the Ground

2026 • 3 min • China, Not Specified
It's a story of breaking free and running toward something no one else has defined. With one relentless run, the protagonist answers every path others have laid out for her. It begins with what seems like an act of obedience. Instead of filling a glass, she pours the water directly onto the table. It spreads across the surface and rises until the entire room is submerged. She does not break the rules. She exploits the inherent absurdity of discipline itself, letting it collapse from within. She surges against the current. She does not retreat, even as the storm tears at her. In the end, she runs into a vast, golden wilderness — where the wind moves through the grass in waves, and a wooden puppet lies fallen, its joints finally come apart. "Further from the ground" is not about flight or escape. It is a restrained longing — the kind that belongs to those of us who do not want to be heroes, who simply want, in a moment when everything presses down, to lift our heads just enough to see a sky that belongs to us. What this MV captures is exactly that moment of looking up. Blue is the color of discipline. But warmth, all along, has been growing. Trapped by discipline, she breaks through the boundary set for her — not by rebellion, but by exploiting the very logic meant to confine her. Then, without looking back, she runs toward a direction she has created for herself. All visuals in this film are AI-generated. Every stage of the production was handled by a single person.
Almost Midnight

Almost Midnight

2026 • 8 min • United States
This film was inspired by the "Doomsday Clock," with mounting concerns as the time nears midnight. Mine is a very personal dreamlike, surreal approach to disturbing subject matter: civil strife around the world, desecration of the environment, climate change, but in the end as there always is in my depictions there's hope that collectively we can learn to live in harmony and peace. In addition to being a filmmaker I'm a painter. I used a number of paintings in this film as background motifs, faces, scenes and textures. Lastly, as in my last film I composed the sound before creating the scenes. The audio sequences conjured up the visuals.
JUST A WALK

JUST A WALK

When Andre — a Midtown man in a perfect grey suit — loses the love of his life to a yellow cab on W. 52nd Street, he does what any reasonable man would do: he chases her through medieval England, feudal Japan, Vietnam, and an alien war. Just A Walk is a ten-minute jazz-and-salsa musical set in 1960s New York — part Fred Astaire, part La La Land, part Harlem block party that nobody planned and everybody needed. It is romantic, absurd, and ends on a brownstone stoop in the blue dusk of 118th Street with a line about cheeseburgers that means something else entirely. It is also the first musical ever made entirely with AI. Every frame generated. Every note scored. Every dance, every street corner, every pigeon — AI. No cameras. No crew. No budget that would frighten a reasonable person.

4:21

2025 • 14 min • Italy
Imma is a lonely girl, trapped in an authoritarian family environment and surrounded by superficial friends who mistake her distress for typical teenage rebellion. Every night, exactly at 4:21 AM, the silence of her room is broken by the blue light of a smartphone: it is the beginning of a dark ritual made of extreme "social challenges" and virtual appointments that demand increasingly dangerous proof. While the adult world remains unaware of the girl's internal struggle, only Erika, a classmate she barely knows, senses the desperate cry for help hidden behind her withdrawn behavior. Through a compelling visual style and immersive sound design, "4:21" explores the boundary between reality and digital influence. It is a race against time that exposes the indifference of society and the quiet power of empathy, bringing to light a truth that few are prepared to face.
