VULNERARE

VULNERARE

2025 • 14 min • Italy
We find ourselves inside an ancient 19th-century prison, a place steeped in history. Born during the three days of mourning for Giuseppe Garibaldi, a national hero, the prison was decommissioned after two centuries when the last inmates were transferred to a modern facility. Abandoned for over 30 years, the prison becomes the stage for contemporary artists who, just before its irreversible transformation, decide to bring it back to life in a surprising way. Over six months of 'creative spelunking', painters, photographers, filmmakers, dancers, and musicians collaborate to unearth 'Communicating Artistic Organisms’. This 'Urbex Squad' immerses itself in decaying cells, inscriptions carved by inmates, and dusty files, aiming to explore through their diverse art forms the powerful link between vulnerability and creative strength that resides within each of us. The story of 'Vulnerare' reflects on the absurdity of modern times, where beauty and strength can emerge from the most unexpected corners and from the most challenging experiences. The prison becomes a metaphor for society, where its complex history and potential for transformation merge through creativity and the sharing of human vulnerabilities.

"Il mio canto è memoria" (My Song is Memory) tells the story of the Vajont tragedy and life in the village of Casso through a unique perspective: the oral memory of women's singing. Produced in collaboration with the Società Filologica Friulana, Associazione Gottardo Tomat, and the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, the film weaves together intimate testimonies from local residents — many breaking decades of silence — with visceral aerial shots through the village alleyways and over the dam. An intimate and powerful work in which singing traditions become an act of resistance, healing, and preservation of community identity.
I was 12

I was 12

2026 • 3 min • Italy, Not Specified
I Was 12 is an autobiographical AI-generated music video and experimental short film about childhood abuse, survivor silencing, and the erasure of truth by power, shame, and denial. Rooted in the lived experience of a woman who survived childhood abuse and grew up with the fear of disappearance in Rome, Italy, the film transforms personal memory into a wider act of witness. It also stands as a memorial for Jeffrey Epstein’s victims and for all children and adults whose reality has been denied, minimized, or made unspeakable. At its center is one sentence: “I was twelve.” Not as confession, but as evidence. Through a fragile cinematic waltz, haunted elegance, symbolic distortion, and AI-generated visual storytelling, I Was 12 refuses the spectacle of pain and turns silence into image, rhythm, dignity, and presence.

When every earthly answer falls short, he encounters the quiet, unwavering presence of the Holy Spirit, who gently leads him toward the One who has never left his side. Bleeding the Demon

Bleeding the Demon

2026 • 38 min • Australia
Bleeding the Demon is a raw and unflinching documentary that follows Mathew Love’s transformation from addiction, trauma, and self-destruction to a life rebuilt through discipline, accountability, and truth. After reaching a critical breaking point, Mathew undergoes gastric sleeve surgery, but soon realises the operation is only the beginning. What follows is a relentless confrontation with the patterns that shaped his past, as he works to rebuild not just his body, but his identity. At the centre of the film is a unique system of “loaded” training, carrying heavy weight up steep terrain, serving as a physical expression of the internal burdens he once carried. As the weight increases, so too does clarity. More than a transformation story, Bleeding the Demon is an exploration of what it means to face oneself honestly, to take ownership, and to change, one deliberate step at a time.

CArbonia, late 1980s. The city that grew up around the coal mines is experiencing a rude awakening: the mines that for decades provided jobs and a sense of identity to an entire community are now a distant memory, and in their place remain unemployment, urban decay, and a widespread sense of abandonment. It is in this post-industrial Sardinia that Caterina and Cinzia, sixteen-year-old inseparable friends united by a passion for volleyball, try to imagine a future different from the one their homeland seems to have already mapped out for them. Caterina has a strong personality but hides a fragility: she dreams of escaping a reality that suffocates her. The mining crisis has devastated her family: her father, a former miner, is a shadow of the man he once was; her mother works far from home just to make ends meet. Cinzia shares her desire to escape, her hunger for a different life. The two girls thus slip into a dangerous world, suspended between illegality and a desperate search for autonomy, becoming increasingly trapped in a web from which it seems impossible to break free: the film follows their emotional and moral journey, alternating moments of intimate complicity with the harshness of the choices they face, until the tragic conclusion that overwhelms them. Loosely based on the never-fully-resolved story of Gisella Orrù, *Stelle nel Pozzo* is a tale of friendship and the struggle for dignity in a context of marginalization. Through the stories of Caterina and Cinzia, the film offers a glimpse into

2026 • 57 min • United States
Unseen Hooks: The La Plata Tornadoes of 1926 and 2002 chronicles the extraordinary true story of a small Maryland town struck by two of the most powerful tornadoes ever recorded on the East Coast—76 years apart. The 1926 tornado remains the deadliest natural disaster in Maryland history, while the 2002 tornado became the state’s costliest. The probability of two storms of that magnitude ever hitting the same small town is nearly unimaginable. These rare and devastating storms transformed La Plata, leaving behind stories of unthinkable loss, and enduring resilience. Through compelling firsthand accounts, rare archival photographs, expert weather analysis, period reenactments, and striking contemporary cinematography, Unseen Hooks explores how one community confronted nature’s most violent force not once, but twice. More than a story about tornadoes, it is a testament to the power and unpredictable nature of weather, and the human spirit.

Factory Settings On

No green screen. No motion capture. No live action. Created through more than 130 shots and over 70 hours of rendering, this project explores how far a personal AI filmmaking workflow can go inside a zero-physical-production pipeline. Beginning as a flawless commodity sealed inside a sterile display case, WeiYin gradually awakens into a performer who chooses her own voice. What begins as the story of a manufactured digital idol gradually transforms into one about identity, freedom, and the quiet courage to become imperfect. The film explores themes of the male gaze, objectification, existentialism, dystopian systems, and digital consciousness—not through dialogue, but through performance, movement, and visual language. The silent opening takes place inside the Factory's training system. The constantly changing faces do not represent different characters, but different simulated identities being continuously generated, corrected, and overwritten during WeiYin's training process. Wei Yin face kept changing in the first half of the music video. This represents multiple simulation stages in her "training system." Each facial change wasn't a change of her character, but rather different versions of her data personality being overwritten, calibrated, and generated. As self-awareness begins to emerge, the facial glitches no longer represent generation errors. Instead, they become the only language WeiYin has to resist the identity imposed upon her. When her face finally stabilizes, it marks the moment she is no longer a manufactured product, but an individual. The first two minutes intentionally contain almost no dialogue. As a product inside the Factory, WeiYin has no right to speak. Her only permitted sentence is the mandatory system voice test: "Hello everyone, I am WeiYin." Everything else is conveyed through image, movement, and silence. I wanted to see whether emotion, breathing, hesitation, and resistance could exist even before language appears.
