The collaboration between Delta V and Mao is part of an artistic relationship built up over time, which across the years has found new opportunities for encounter and continuity. During the tour supporting 𝘐𝘯 𝘧𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘪 𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘪, Mao served as the opening act at the band’s concerts, sharing the stage and helping to renew a musical dialogue that had been active since the 1990s. The connection between the two projects marks the meeting of two landmark names on the Italian alternative scene: on one side Delta V, recognised for their elegant and intimate sonic explorations, and on the other Mao, a singer-songwriter and versatile artist among the leading figures of the golden age of MTV Italy and of Italian alternative culture between the 1990s and the 2000s. The artistic bond indeed traces its roots back to that very period, beginning with their collaboration on the track 𝘓𝘢 𝘮𝘪𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘴𝘢, featured on the Milan-based band’s album 𝘗𝘴𝘺𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘵, for which Mao wrote and performed the lyrics. To this is added his appearance in the music video for 𝘭𝘭 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘮𝘰 𝘨𝘪𝘰𝘳𝘯𝘰 𝘥𝘦𝘭 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘰, a special guest role alongside Angela Baraldi and Garbo, which helped to cement a creative bond destined to resurface over time. In this new chapter, Mao reinterprets 𝘞𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘺, transforming it into a remix with an electronic, cinematic edge, in which the track’s original structure is reworked into a more rarefied, nocturnal dimension, with a strong emphasis on the evocative quality of the sound. The result is a version that leaves Delta V’s songwriting intact while projecting it into a more abstract and visual soundscape, in keeping with the artistic vision of the Turin-based singer-songwriter. The project is rounded off by an official music video directed by 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘀 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘁, a filmmaker originally from Brussels and based in Montreal, shot in Tokyo, which amplifies the visual dimension of the track by building an imaginary world suspended between urban life, movement and emotional perception. Meanwhile, as Delta V are busy with the summer tour for 𝘐𝘯 𝘧𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘪 𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘪, Mao continues work on his new album, already partly previewed during the dates on which he opened for the band. The remix of 𝘞𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘺, out on 31 July 2026, is the final chapter in the project reinterpreting Delta V’s latest record, and accompanies the release, on the same day, of 𝙄𝙣 𝙛𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙞 𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙞 𝙍𝙈𝙓, a complete reworking through the interpretations of artists and producers from the Italian alternative scene, offering a fresh sonic perspective on the record’s tracks.

This director would go on to work for Disney Studios, and direct and edit a 1950 Academy Award Documentary. Richard H. Lyford’s films have developed a following among film-historians, since his early “amateur” films are some of the first “indie” films ever created outside of Hollywood. Lyford experimented with special effects, and models, and was becoming an excellent director. His final, and most challenging, film of this era was “As the Earth Turns”, his screenplay based on "The Man Who Rocked the Earth" by Arthur Train and Robert Williams Wood, 1915.. It was filmed in the Pacific Northwest, in and around Seattle. “As the Earth Turns”, is presented for the first time after 80 years of development! To finish his vision, a professionally mixed orchestral soundtrack, by NW film composer, Ed Hartman has been added to the presentation. “As the Earth Turns” is a 45 minute, sci-fi film that foresaw WWII, future-technology, climate change, and the extreme need for peace, as the world was drifting back into world war again. The main character, “PAX” (“Peace” in Latin), is played by Lyford, himself, a scientist who desperately wants peace. He uses climate changing science to keep mankind from war. The lead actors are both male and female. The lead actress, Barbara Berger (AKA Barbara Berjer) portrays a hard working newspaper reporter. Her strong character, “Julie Weston” leads the hunt for the villain all the way to the end of the film. Berger had a long career on Broadway and television (ironically including “As the World Turns”). The acting is dramatic, professional and realistic. Lyford used early homemade FX including controlled dynamite explosions and miniature models similar to those used in “Flash Gordon” (1936 Serial). His make-up work was excellent (he loved Lugosi and horror films) and his framing of the picture is mature and developed. Lyford was very capable of directing his acting troupe, as well. A legendary location in Seattle, “Gasworks” was used for PAX’s lair. The film has similar themes to “Things to Come”(1936), “In Like Flint” (1967), and even a little “Austin Powers” (1997). Some of the dialogue seems to come out of the TV series “Star Trek” (1966), and even “Dr. Strangelove”(1964). The film was shot in B&W, but the last scene was shot color for dramatic purpose, foreshadowing “Wizard of Oz” in 1939.  “As the Earth Turns” is an example of a true “indie” film, completely shot outside of Hollywood. It is an amazing educational film for any filmmaker to learn from. This filmmaking had no sophisticated technology available. It has multiple-exposure sequences (including a very professional title sequence), “day for night” shooting, simple transitions, and intense editing between live action and miniature model sequences. Richard Lyford did his best with very limited resources. This film is a great lesson for anyone in media creation, today.

"Emotional Catharsis" is an animated short film that depicts the creator’s emotional state during their studies and life in Taiwan. Each day feels as if it is copy-pasted and repeated, while loneliness from being away from home, along with regret over loss and missed opportunities, gradually weighs the protagonist down until they can barely breathe. The story centers on the protagonist moving between a repressive daily life and their inner world. Through dreamlike scenes and imagery, it portrays their journey from loss and self-doubt to learning how to “keep moving forward with pain.” The act of creation itself becomes their most important emotional outlet, as well as a starting point for facing themselves again and attempting to reconnect with others.

"In Between The Lines" is a visually driven narrative that examines the tension between rigid confinement and organic expansiveness. Through stark environmental contrasts, the film follows a protagonist navigating multiple distinct realities, from enclosed concrete cells and homogenized corporate environments to limitless organic landscapes. Operating simultaneously as a sociological critique of modern conformity and a speculative sci-fi visualization of an emerging artificial intelligence, the film constructs a puzzle regarding the nature of perception. The striking final sequence recontextualizes the entire viewing experience, challenging the audience to determine whether the protagonist's perceived freedom is a genuine escape or a hallucinated latent space generated within a localized server node.

A city park, a free-spirited woman named Bunny and her boyfriend Ed are cycling, tipsy and absorbed in each other when Bunny has a sudden accident and dies. The crashed bike she was riding glows and pulses like a heartbeat. Bunny has survived but in the the body of the rental bike she rode. Bunny-bike eventually finds Ed and convinces him she’s his reincarnated lover. They reconnect, leading to a confusing charged night, until Ed’s unexpected new fling arrives and Ed chooses to dispose of Bunny-bike. The cheating rejection sends Bunny boiling over the edge.

OMBRA is an experimental art short film by Monica Marioni that functions as a non-linear "psychic crossing" through the Jungian unconscious. Following a "spiraling poetics," the work repeats a cycle of symbolic visions in three acts—descent, repetition, and agony—intensifying the protagonist's loss of free will as dictated by the relentless, mechanical rhythm of a metronome. Within the living organism of a mysterious "Villa," the protagonist encounters archetypal figures such as the heart-collecting liquid Shadow and the vulnerable Divine Child. While the "Magic Garden" offers a brief, deceptive illusion of peace, the journey accelerates toward a final collapse where the screen claustrophobically contracts into a 4:3 format to reflect the fragmentation of the psyche. This descent culminates in the devastating realization that the Shadow is an internal double, leading to a "definitive stasis" where the light is extinguished, leaving only the title to linger for nine seconds as a final reflection of the void.

Through collaboration with artist krockworks, who contributed original lyrics, composition, and performance, the film achieves a level of emotional resonance beyond generative output. His music is not an accompaniment, but a structural element—synchronized with the narrative to unify image, sound, and meaning into a cohesive emotional experience. Ultimately, the film represents a convergence of human authorship and AI capability. By integrating AI-generated visuals, music, and narrative into a single cinematic language, DEVIL: ERROR_001 proposes a new form of filmmaking—one that expands beyond traditional production methods into a hybrid, immersive system of creation. This spatial shift externalises the profound human desire to find genuine connection in a vast, indifferent matrix. Ann’s journey through this matrix blurs the line between a digital anomaly and a feeling entity.
