Two parallel monologues. Two men of different ages, talk about their lives and what haunts them. One, almost middle-aged, feels he has lost his way. Full of anxiety and metaphysical agony, he desperately seeks to find the path of return that will lead him to his paternal home and the years of innocence. At the point where he started his impasse, so far, wandering. The route looks like a strange dream. People, animals, machines, change form, properties, and actions in a nightmarish cluster full of paradoxical images, charged with passions and unacknowledged guilt. The other, an elderly man, is nearing the end of his journey. Locked up in a small room, isolated, accompanied by memories and ghosts from the past, he has stopped being anxious. He watches the outside world through the window, with the same stoic calm that he also watches what happens in the strange circus that performs in his small room. Everything that his imagination, memory, and sensitive psyche puts in front of him. "In the opening of this film is seen the astronomer intently poring over his books. Suddenly, in a cloud of smoke, Satan appears and surprises the astronomer. At the command of the Fairy Queen, who suddenly appears, Satan vanishes; she awakens the astronomer and as he goes forward to meet her she disappears. The astronomer is very much excited, and, rushing over to the large telescope he tries to discover by what means she had vanished. The moon now appears, and begins her repast by eating the immense telescope used by the astronomer. The astronomer flies around apparently wild at the loss of his wonderful telescope. Suddenly the moon opens wide her mouth and there comes forth a tot of about five summers. She is immediately followed by two others, and they proceed to dance around the astronomer, and vanish one at a time until but one is left. The astronomer, picking her up, thinking he could keep her, hugs her tightly in his arms, but she also vanishes. Tired and heart-broken the astronomer grasps a broom and attempts to strike the moon, when she suddenly vanishes and in the distance laughs at him, rolling his eyes forward and backward, apparently convulsed with laughter. The moon suddenly changes to a crescent, and a fairy appears sitting on it. The veiled figure which stands before him throws back its veil and becomes animated; he rushes forward and grasps it, when, to his utter amazement, it disappears in the air. The Fairy Queen appears in the crescent. She first seats he

Bach's Adagio in D minor, which he brilliantly interprets on the piano, the Guatemalan indigenous artist and farmer Salvador Chavajay tells us with simplicity and clairvoyance the recent forced exodus of workers from his country and offers his definition of the term’s poverty, wealth and conscience.

ReNEWed_The Second Take explores the journey of piano parts excited to discover new possibilities. Multiple characters created from parts of a piano symbolize the bustling activity in my garage studio, reflecting my sculpture practice where I deconstruct pianos and transform them into new forms, expressing themes of renewal and second chances. Each piano and sculpture is 3D scanned using photogrammetry apps such as KiriEngine, Scaniverse, Luma AI, and Qlone. The animation is created in Blender and edited in Premiere Pro, merging traditional art methods with digital media to bring the creations to life. Incorporating audio excerpts from "American Look (Part I, 2 & 3)", the soundscape creates a nostalgic yet futuristic atmosphere. The dialogue resonates with the themes of my work and my contemporary artistic journey. Music and sound effects reflect the transformation of piano parts, accentuating moments of creation and renewal. Through this work, I highlight the potential for rebirth and transformation within discarded objects, challenging viewers to see beyond the surface and appreciate the meticulous details in everyday materials. ReNEWed_The Second Take serves as a metaphor for the creative process, illustrating how destruction can lead to creation, and how the past can inform and enrich the future. AWARDS:

Video for a track from Three On A Match, a conceptual album comprised of songs inspired by the titles of Bette Davis films (but not necessarily the films). This particular song has little to do with the associated film, and is instead a meditation on memory, regret, and perception of time. The video expands on that idea, considering the limitations of memory, the isolation of art, and the possibilities of renewal in experiencing the present. AWARDS:
