“Wulsani - together with death” is a story about a hidden orphanage and its tenants in the Carpathian mountains in the Ukraine. More and more children from all across the Ukraine get to the orphanage, whose parents - unable to face the horrors - bring them there. These horrors are mostly the genetical and biological consequences of the catastrophe. Mutations or because of a failed immune system horrible, often times unknown or uncurable illnesses occur. Following the disintegration of the Soviet Union the economical situation didn’t allow sufficient medicine and supply to arrive and what did arrive proved to be insufficient. The staff, the nurses, the doctors all fight vigorously against the illnesses, but to no avail This film is about them and the terrors of Chernobyl.
