Marley rings the doorbell, holding a bouquet. Marie opens the door, all dressed up. The young man plans to take her out for a walk. The two of them get on a Vespa and ride through Paris, as if in a dream. Their first stop is Montmartre Hill. The two lovers enjoy themselves, spinning around on the carousel in Saint-Pierre Square. The scene feels almost familiar. Transported to another setting, the two lovers find themselves on a picnic blanket. Everything is already there – the basket, the wine, waiting for them in the woods. They capture the moment, stars in their eyes, emerging from a movie screening. Then quickly, back to Marie's place, for a passionate twist, like two dancers on a cabaret stage. When the time finally comes for a kiss, a harsh return to reality. Marley has been only dreaming, assuming the role of his beloved mistress's suitor, Marie, a devoted cinephile. She opens the door to her true partner. Marley sadly returns to his dog's life. Original/Alternative Title: Chienne de vie AWARDS:

As the headline on the Daily Planet tells the public: "Mechanical Monster loots bank!" In fact, a scientist has an army of these flying robots able to steal anything in sight. Police are set up everywhere to guard an exhibition of rare jewels, but it's no use. When a robot crashes into the building, it steals all the precious stones in sight, while the policemen's bullets harm it no more than flies. Clark and Lois are at the exhibit. While Clark phones in the story from a booth, Lois stows away in the robot's compartment. Clark sees that Lois has gone missing and decides to change into Superman there in the phone booth. Superman follows the monster, while his X-ray vision allows him to spot Lois inside. His attempt to get Lois out fails. The robot knocks him onto some power lines, losing the jewelry and (nearly) Lois in the process. The robot returns to the scientist's hideout with Lois, but no jewelry. She refuses to tell the scientist where it is. He retaliates by tying her up and setting her on a platform over a pot of boiling metal. The platform slowly descends, as Superman breaks in. But he'll have to fight the scientist's entire army of robots to save the day.

After the initial joy of having time on my hands during our lockdown, I found myself waking up with a sense of dread wondering how to meaningfully connect with loved ones and clients. Thinking about my fears and insecurities led me to the realisation of the importance of simply being there for someone else. The thought of creating a short film exploring our vulnerabilities and importance of loved ones led to the idea of asking my family to help shoot it, with me acting in it. I’m very blessed they embraced the challenge. A film about family, filmed by family, starring family, using a soundtrack from the band my son-in-law was part of. AWARDS:
