Synopsis
The Trials of Constance Baker Motley spans her legal career from 1946 to 1966 working closely with Thurgood Marshall at the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, arguing 10 civil rights cases at the Supreme Court, to becoming the first black woman voted NY State Senator, Manhattan Borough President and appointed to the federal bench by President Lyndon Johnson.
