"Frozen Monkeys: Bill Dawson and the Making of Badlands" is a 'mockumentary' (for lack of a better term). It was produced in 1996 but never released, then digitized and re-edited in 2021. The producer/director was an Albertan at the time of the original production. This work follows Edmonton-based Bill Dawson producing his first film. Made at the Film and Video Arts Society of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, this video follows the production of "Badlands" from rehearsals to location shooting at Fort Edmonton in the middle of a particularly harsh winter.
