Echoes of Stone is a poetic audiovisual documentary exploring London's Medieval, Romantic and Victorian Gothic - a love letter to the architecture we have stopped looking at.

Rather than explaining architecture through conventional exposition, the film explores how these buildings feel and what their forms reveal about the fears, beliefs and aspirations of the societies that created them. Through handheld imagery, layered editing, brief vox pops and an immersive soundscape drawn from London's churches, Echoes of Stone becomes a collage designed to be experienced rather than simply watched. Once built to inspire faith and awe, these buildings now often fade into the background of everyday London. The film asks what happens when architecture designed to make us look up becomes something we barely notice.
