The roots of Shirley Bobbitt’s political fire are forged at her family’s kitchen table, where three generations of Black women wrestle with fear, faith, and purpose. As Shirley prepares to challenge the political system, her activism creates tension within her own family, particularly with her protective sister Odessa. Guided by her mother Rosemary’s spiritual grounding, the women confront generational trauma and differing beliefs about safety, obedience, and change.
