This Short Animated film is a personal project that aims to make the viewer experience a glimpse into the feelings, emotions and experiences that an Eastern European immigrant experiences. It is specifically about my memories, encounters, and personal bruises that I have encountered as a Romanian living and growing within UK through all the political shifts that Brexit, a worldwide pandemic and neighboring war within my homeland. These are all collected experience that I have felt, and this film is deeply personal to me. I have made it as a form of processing, healing and honouring the growth and the hardship that came with and due to changes in how I was perceived and affected due to phisically shifting environments and states of being or expressing myself. Some key points and ideas to reflect on throughout this film : classism, immigration, working class, borders, geopolitical importance, Terminology, the meaning of 'white ' privilege and its ties to colonial power, discrimination, racism, ostracization, bullying, homesickness, depression, struggle, loneliness, belonging, community, self-discovery.
