In July 2025, a new and very unusual work for violin solo was released written by six composers who met through a Zoom Salon Series sponsored by The Boston New Music Initiative. Each composer wrote ten measures of music, passing on only their tenth and final measure to the next composer who would not begin to compose until seeing that measure. None had any idea what was in the other 9 measures (or any of the piece) preceding their own. “Boston Rhapsody” is the resulting composition, with sheet music compiled by Bill Taylor and the piece performed by An Vedi, an internationally acclaimed violinist, composer, conductor, and visual artist.
