The Awakening is the hypothetical and imaginary rebirth of the living fossils created by Alberto Di Fabio. In the motion-picture these small ancient creatures find themselves linked to the environment through invisible shapes. They arise in an unrecognisable landscape that has changed since their times and that is now inherited by humanity. A world that has no memory of a nature that is uncontaminated and pure. These entities that are at the same time abstract and real become audience of this changing world and souvenir of the harmony between planet and nature.
