A few years ago during one of his trips German's best friend Artyom had accidentally found a never-before-mentioned valley in the mountains of Tibet. When he descended into the valley for an exploration a great windstorm suddenly started. After leaving this frightening place with a great effort he began being haunted by a mysterious uber-wind that wants to consume his soul.

Since then many of his relatives & friends have stopped talking to him because of the feelings of despair & premotion his presence encouraged. The only person still keeping in touch with him is German. However it took a toll on him. His wife's feelings of jealousy gave rise to a conflict since she thought that he doesn't give her enough attention.

Trying to cut down on communication German refuses to go on a meeting with Artyom. He invites his colleagues to a cottage to have an excuse not to leave the house.

On the day when the guests are due to arrive Artyom calls & asks German to come but Artyom refuses to go & invites German to visit him instead. German explains that it would be dangerous because of the wind that can find him on the road.

Later Artyom calls again. His voice is trembling. "The wind is already here, — he says. — Today it's stronger than ever". German is sceptical & recommends Artyom to take a sleeping pill. A sudden noise on the phone causes German to shudder — Artyom starts to frantically describe what is happening prompting German to end the call.
