Norma, who is suffering from prenatal depression and pregnancy symptoms, suspects that her husband had not quit smoking as promised. The home begins to inexplicably flood with more and more floating ash, invading Norma’s space, skin, and even thoughts, and corroding the couple’s long depleted relationship. One day, she finally can’t stand it all and flees to the beach, mourning her once free self. When Norma find that all the ashes are from her beloved husband, she understands that it is time to let go of him with the wind, alone to face the raging waves.
