Synopsis
Born in 1957, Ali Olgun is broad shouldered and has long beard. In 1985, he came to Kartal with his childhood friend. He has been living in Kadıköy for 38 years. Ali Amca, who creates his own lifestyle, keeps living by collecting tins in the streets day and night. He reads newspaper every morning. He prepares his own food. He values effort and hard work and persevarence. He is loved by the artisans of Kadıköy and is known as Kabasakal. He states that everyone has got something on; there is no life without work and effort. He stays on the street during the day and in a bakery at night. In summer he generally stays in Yoğurtçu Park/Moda Beach and in Bahariye, Nazım Hikmet street in winter and contributes to recycling. He wanders around Kadıköy all day long; he states that no matter what he is happy with his life, he will not give up on his life as long as he stands on his own feet. He adopts these sentences as world view; 'Everyone has a job.' and 'there is no life without work and effort.' and this is the law of life and nature. Logline: The film focuses on Uncle Ali staying on the street with his own lifestyle and people being prejudiced by Uncle Ali. While emphasizing the importance of the study, it is questioned to look at people on the street from different perspectives.
Purpose: It is to show that Ali Olgun's enlightened and humble personality can set an example for everyone who stays on the street.
